The History of Moak.
Moak started as a small family-run shop in Modica, Sicily, Italy in 1967. Thanks to its product excellence combine with the forward looking vision, Caffe Moak is now present in more than 50 countries. This kind of success has been achieved through continuous improvement, both in terms of production and organizational structure, as well as the constant and strong attention to quality and detail.
The company’s homeland has a rich history which was called Motyka by the Greeks, Motuca by the Romans and Mohac by the Arabs. The latter also brought coffee culture to Sicily. The name MOAK is intended to symbolize the company’s tradition and modernity.
The beans Moak uses for its blends are carefully selected from the best qualities available. The roasting is carried out according to type so each type of beans can develop its full potential.
Moak’s experience and passion is characterized by a wide variety of blends. The unique taste experience of an Italian Moak espresso is the pure expression of pure Sicilian diversity.
Moak Roastery
Immerse yourself in the aromatic world of Moak! For more than 50 years, the Sicilian roastery has been roasting high-quality beans and creating delicious blends that delight coffee lovers all over the world. The seat of the roastery is in Modica, a city marked by different cultures. The Arabs are considered to be the inventors of coffee and called the city Mohac - as a tribute to this history, the roastery decided on the name Moak.
The beans Moak uses for its blends are selected from the best qualities available. The roasting is carried out according to type so that each type of bean can develop its full potential. Even though the roasting processes are now controlled by computers, Moak always has an experienced roasting master in charge.
THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SICILIAN ROASTERY
After the beginnings at the end of the 60's, the company developed continuously until today. At first only the Italian market could be served and today Moak is present with its products on all 5 continents. Over the years, the company has continued to expand and modernize. Never has the company identity been violated by new processes or marketing strategies and always the product "Made in Italy" has been put in the foreground. The quality of the products is due to the careful selection of coffee beans and a roasting process that gives each coffee variety the optimal organoleptic characteristics.

Moak actively take measures to reduce the environmental impact. They carefully select the best coffees cultivated in respect of the environment and of working conditions. All the energy use is generated from 100% renewable energy sources. They design and produce coffee-related items that have a long lifecycle and are recyclable.

The outstanding quality of all blends originates from the careful selection of finest Arabica and Robusta plants. Moak has been priding themselves on working with great attention to detail for more than fifty years. One aspect is to ensure that the entire production process meets their quality standards. Only the best single origins are selected, coffee beans are treated with great care and undergo single roasting process, as their goal is to ensure that every coffee type preserves its distinctive aromatic notes and scents released during harvesting.

A chemical laboratory with highly sophisticated equipment where we perform checks and tests in compliance with Moak’s quality standards and search for production and technology related solutions.
In-house advertising agency where designers and advertisers carry out constant research in the field of communication and design. People who feed on external stimuli and inspirations and who daily seek little-trodden paths to give Moak a voice.
